Farmer’s Wife & Heels

Farmer’s Wife & Heels

Welcome to my NEW blog called Farmer’s Wife & Heels!

I thought it was an appropriate name for a GIRL BOSS that grew up a “Farmers Daughter” & now a “Farmer’s Wife”.

I’m not your typical “Farmers Wife”.

No, I don’t live on a farm I live in the city

No, I don’t milk the cows or feed the chickens

No, I don’t cook much from the farm (my hubby is the cook lucky me!)

However, I learned a lot from growing up being a Farmer’s Daughter & Farmers Wife! Here are just a few things I have learned.

Work ethic:

You learn strong work ethic when you watch your Grandfather & Dad start work at 5am and finish when the job is done. I learned you work when you can so when you can’t work, it works for you.  To make extra money I worked at the strawberry U-pick fields especially during busy season. I learned how to deal with customers, people skills, the cash register, & about produce.

I learned to work hard and play harder! I saw my dad work hard all year then the months he was off (because our farm is seasonal) we would go on lavish trips. But during the farming season we were all in for the farm. No travel!

Save for a rainy day!

There are some good years and bad years in farming and in life.   You can’t spend all you have made and not prepare for the future.

Live below your means!

Pivot… There are some years you have to learn to pivot, move on, work a different way, change directions.  You could have bad weather, terrible market, bad crops…just obstacle. Anything that pulls you in another direction or away from your passion.

I do love wearing denim! If you let me pick my favorite outfit it would be denim distressed rip jeans, a white t-shirt & cute shoes.

Overalls…hmmm…maybe sometimes, but more DENIM!

On The Flip Side…

On the other side you don’t get much girlier than me!

I love talking about make-up, skin-care, hair, shopping, Bravo channel, style, trends, new leadership books, travel, etc.

On my blog I will be discussing “Girl boss” info, make-up trends, style, travel, hair tips, mom tips, funny, words of wisdom stories, tips on building your empire!

I promise you will have a great time reading my blog, following me, & watching my Instagram stories. Trust me there will never be a dull moment!

I’m as real as real can be. What you see is what you get!

So, subscribe, I promise you will laugh & have fun and maybe learn a little along the way!

So cool! So much is taught by watching all the hard work that goes on to make a farm work. 🌱

Throughout the grand design of things you receive an A just for hard work. Where exactly you actually misplaced me personally ended up being on all the specifics. You know, it is said, the devil is in the details… And that could not be more true here. Having said that, allow me reveal to you what did do the job. Your article (parts of it) is quite convincing and that is most likely why I am taking the effort to comment. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. 2nd, despite the fact that I can easily see the leaps in logic you come up with, I am not sure of how you appear to unite the points that help to make the final result. For the moment I shall subscribe to your issue but hope in the near future you actually connect your dots much better.
